Here we have an example of milled lead sheet dressed over mop stick rolls. This recently completed lead
roof shows the neat and tidy finish
that can be acheived by the use of patination oil which is designed to prevent the build up of oxides which tend to cause unsightly staining on adjacent roofing elevations.
This lead valley junction shows how effective they can look when the roof coverings are cut neatly down the angle, in this case reconstituted slates make up the roof covering, as with hips, valleys can have many different types of lining but the most common method is code 5 lead sheet.
