    Finance Solutions

Close links with a number of specialist project funders and more traditional lenders enables POB Solar to offer a range of flexible funding solutions that can be tailored to meet your specific requirements:

Free Solar – This fully funded approach is generally only available to Housing Associations and is evaluated by our funders on a case by case basis. This solution is at no cost to the landlord and offers the tenant a free PV system and reduced electricity bills. The Feed-in-Tariff income is collected by the funder and is used to fund the installation and on-going system maintenance, then at the end of the 20 year contract ownership of the asset passes to the landlord.

Partially Funded – This combined funding solution is geared to companies and public sector bodies where the aforementioned fully –funded solution is not viable, This funding approach enables you to contribute typically 25% of the upfront  project installation cost and then benefit from Free electricity for the 20 year duration of the roof-top lease.  Again in this instance the funder collects the Fee-in-Tariff and this covers the balance of installation costs and on-going maintenance. At the end of the contract ownership of the lease automatically pass to the owner of the building.

Leasing - This allows you to spread the cost of the capital expenditure over a number of years, typically upto to a maximum period of 7 years. At the end of the lease ownership of the system can be transferred to the client after the payment of a small fee. The benefit of leasing the system is that the Feed-in-Tariff and Export income goes to you the client and not to the finance provider.
